Sunrise was at about 7:15am, and I managed to wake up early enough to set up and take photographs three times during the trip. This shot shows the Hobby-Eberly Telescope (in the hills on the left side of the photo) just as the sun peeked over the mountains. A few of my other favorite sunrise photos are up on flickr.
Nice picture!
Still, the only proper way to see an observatory at sunrise is from the other direction, by staying up all night and working :-)
Heh. If I’d stayed up all night I’d have been so tired I probably would have left the lens cap on or something silly like that. Besides, most nights it was cloudy!
Mm, lovely. I especially like the one with the pine tree.
Thanks, Jessica!
Oooooo! Gallery worthy!
Thanks! And next up are my giant spider pictures…
